Abstract:	This chapter on insulin therapy in pregnancy is from a reference book that explores the pharmacokinetics of insulin and insulin programs. The book focuses on the latest blood glucose self-monitoring equipment and assessment strategies that can achieve optimal glycemic control and thus reduce the occurrence of complications including retinopathy (eye disease), neuropathy (nerve disease), nephropathy (kidney disease) and cardiovascular disease.
