A Federal Advisory Committee, as defined by Federal Advisory Committee Act,
is any board, commission, council, conference, panel, task force, or other
similar group, or any subcommittee or other subgroup that is established by
statute or utilized by one or more agency officials to obtain advice or
recommendations.
All requests regarding management of operations of advisory committees or the
appointment of members should be routed first to the IC Committee Management
Officer and then to the Office of Federal Advisory Committee Policy(OFACP),
6701 Democracy Blvd., Suite 1000, 301-496-2123. All candidates for membership
must be processed through the Director, OFACP.
