Mr. Arif received his MBA from the University of Miami in Marketing and Management Information Systems in 2000. He obtained his J.D. and Masters of Intellectual Property dual degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 2004. During law school, Mr. Arif interned for the 3COM Corporation Patent and Licensing Group and clerked for the ESA, a Washington, D.C. based trade association representing the copyright interests of entertainment software companies. After graduation, Mr. Arif clerked for the Honorable Judges of the Superior Court of Connecticut-New London on matters of contract and insurance law. In 2005, he worked for the technology transfer boutique Foresight Science and Technology, where Mr. Arif served as a Biotechnology Licensing Associate consulting SBIR/STTR awardees on Phase I and Phase II commercialization strategies for SBIR funded biotechnology. Thereafter, Mr. Arif was employed by the Naval Research Lab (NRL) in Washington D.C., where he served as a Technology Transfer Management Analyst in the NRL Technology Transfer Office. In May 2008, Mr. Arif obtained his M.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Georgetown University. He joined the TTC as a CRTA fellow in June 2008. Mr. Arif is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts. Tariq I.
