Elizabeth Lovoy

Ms. Lovoy joined TTB, NCI in 1995. She is currently a Special Expert for Clinical Science. Ms. Lovoy received her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee, her Master in Public Health (epidemiology) from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law with a concentration in health care law.

She is a member of the Maryland State Bar. Prior to joining the NCI, Ms. Lovoy managed health studies as a private contractor for the NCI, including a study of breast cancer in women under the age of 45, and a smoking cessation projectfor pregnant women.

Ms. Lovoy also provided legislative and legal support to the Maryland State Office of the Attorney General, Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, as well as to the National Health Law Program. Ms. Lovoy has published in the area of healthcare issues as they relate to legal and ethical concerns.
