National Toxicology Program Interagency Center for the Evaluation of Alternative Toxicological Methods (http://iccvam.niehs.nih.gov/home.htm)
Created in 1998 to provide operational support for the Interagency Coordinating Committee on the Validation of Alternative Methods (ICCVAM). ICCVAM was developed in response to NIEHS’s need to develop and validate new test methods and to establish criteria and processes for the validation and regulatory acceptance of toxicological testing methods.
