Ms. Blackburn currently serves as Coordinator for Community Affairs and Outreach for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Children’s Health Protection. Ms. Blackburn also serves as the EPA liaison to the American Academy of Pediatrics’ (AAP) Committee on Environmental Health. Prior to coming to the federal government in 1997, she served as a nurse at a Washington, DC area hospital. Before working at the hospital, she spent 14 years doing community education and fundraising for a number of non-profit organizations.
