Have a Research Question? The NIH Library Offers In-Office and Remote Assistance
The NIH Library is located in Building 10 on the Bethesda campus, but its services extend far beyond:
- more than 8,400 full-text online journals, 1,900 online books, 50 databases, and 690 Internet resources are available through the NIH Library website,
- document delivery provides electronic copies of articles not available through the Library's journal collections, and
- the book delivery service eliminates the need for you to come to the Library to borrow a book.
Supplementing these digital library services is personalized assistance available in your office:
- training in the use of NIH Library databases such as PubMed®, PsycINFO®, Scopus™, and Web of Science®,
- answers to questions about EndNote®, EndNote Web, and Reference Manager® citation tools,
- review of research questions in preparation for literature searches, and
- answers to reference questions.
In-office assistance is available for staff in Bethesda, Rockville, and Baltimore. Remote assistance via Adobe Connect (http://webcollaboration.nih.gov/) is available for staff in other areas, as well as the above locations.
To take advantage of the Library's in-office and remote assistance: email nihlibrary@nih.gov, call Reference & Information Services at 301-496-1080, or submit a request through the Request a Tutorial webpage.
