Patrick McCue, Ph.D.

Dr. McCue joined the NCI's Technology Transfer Center in December 2007. Dr. McCue received his Ph.D. (2004) in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a B.S (cum laude, 1998) and M.S. (2000) in Biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. His research focused on the chemopreventive mechanisms of dietary phenolic compounds. Prior to joining TTC, Dr. McCue held a joint-postdoctoral appointment with the NCI and the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) in which he studied the molecular mechanisms of action of chemopreventive natural products and their effect on tumor metabolism and cancer susceptibility. Dr. McCue also previously held a postdoctoral appointment at the Genome Research Facility at the NASA Ames Research Center where he studied the effect of Space radiation on physiology using state-of-the-art experimental and computational functional genomics in model organisms and developed natural products as radiation countermeasures.
