Suzanne Frisbie

Prior to joining TTB, Dr. Frisbie was a Senior Staff Scientist in the National Institute for Arthritis, Musculoskeletal, and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) where she studied X-ray diffraction to determine the structure/function relationship of actin and myosin in skeletal muscle.

She received her Ph.D. from Georgetown University in Chemistry where her studiescentered on EXAFS (Extended X-Ray Absorption Fine Structure), X-ray edge spectroscopy,laser photolysis, and purification of vitamin-B12 binding proteins.

Her thesis title was: "Purification and Biophysical Characterization of HumanCobalophilin; A Cobalamin Binding Protein". She received her B.A. in Biochemistryfrom Mount Holyoke College.

Dr. Frisbie's expertise and background is primarily in physical chemistry andbiochemistry. Formerly, the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program (CTEP) was hermain client, and she has also provided for the technology transfer needs of theMetabolism Branch in the Division of Clinical Sciences. She is currently thecontact for the Neurologic Oncology Branch (NOB) and the Medicine Branch of theCenter for Cancer Research (CCR), NCI.
