Inventory and Evaluation of Clinical Research Networks (IECRN)
National Leadership Forum

May 31 and June 1, 2006
DoubleTree Hotel
Rockville, Maryland

The Inventory and Evaluation of Clinical Research Networks (IECRN) National Leadership Forum Exit Disclaimer was convened at the DoubleTree Hotel, Rockville, Maryland, May 31 and June 1, 2006.

The purpose of the National Leadership Forum was to present findings from the NIH-sponsored Inventory and Evaluation of Clinical Research Networks (IECRN) in the areas of Management and Governance; Network Operations; Information Technology; Data Management; Financial Practices; Recruitment and Retention; and Training and Professional Development. The Forum also provided a venue for attendees to critically review and discuss the IECRN survey and best practice assessments. Goals of the National Leadership Forum include:

  • Engaging clinical research network opinion leaders in building a common framework for discourse and dialogue on the NIH Roadmap initiative;
  • Supporting cross-network exchange in the CRN community; and
  • Providing a springboard to ongoing dissemination of information and practice models to the CRN community.

Attendees had opportunities to provide input into findings and best practice models used by the NIH Roadmap Initiative in its ongoing discussion of re-engineering the clinical research enterprise.
