• NCI Cancer Mortality Maps & Graphs Web site – access the Atlas of Cancer Mortality in the U.S., 1950-94, which shows the geographic patterns of cancer death rates in over 3,000 counties across the country over more than four decades. The atlas consists of maps, text, tables, and figures showing the geographic patterns of cancer death rates throughout the United States from 1950 to 1994 for about 40 cancers, including breast cancer.   The maps show a pattern of elevated mortality rates for female breast cancer extending from the Mid-Atlantic through the Northeastern states has persisted for many years.
