Renal Diagnostics and Therapeutics Unit : NIDDK

Renal Diagnostics and Therapeutics Unit

Closing Date: none

Position Type:

Postdoctoral Fellow

Details:
I will have an opening for a postdoctoral fellow in my laboratory starting approximately November 2005, and the position would be 2-5 years in duration. We are interested in discovering and developing new ways to prevent, diagnose, understand, and/or treat acute renal failure. In the last two years, we have developed a new mouse model of sepsis and sepsis-induced acute renal failure that more closely mimics the human disease than previous models. This provides many new avenues of research, including the use of non-invasive MRI and proteomics methods that we have developed. The only limitations are that the postdoctoral fellow cannot be more than 6 years removed from his/her latest degree, and the candidate cannot hold an H1B visa. Please send me your research interests and C.V. by e-mail to Robert_Star@nih.gov
