Position Description: The NCI in collaboration with the University of Maryland College Park, and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, has recently launched an interdisciplinary NanoBioSensor Initiative to develop electronic biosensors to detect nucleic acids, biomolecules, and small molecules. The candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry and some experience in oligonucleotide chemistry, peptide synthesis, purification, structure elucidation and in a broader area of medicinal chemistry. A candidate with interest in translational research at the interface of chemistry and biology is highly encouraged to apply for this position.
Experience Required: Ph.D candidate with experience in oligonucleotide chemistry, peptide synthesis, purification, structure elucidation and in a broader area of medicinal chemistry.
Additional Information: The position will be located in Gaithersburg, MD at the Advanced Technology Center.
