What is the Training Activities (TA) module?

The Training Activities (TA) module supports NIH's National Research Service Award business operations for processing training appointments, terminations, and payback obligations. The module houses documents mailed by Principal Investigators (PIs) to NIH as well as appointments and terminations entered to PIs electronically through the NIH eRA Commons.

What is the Workgroup on Extramural Training Systems (WETS)?

The Workgroup on Extramural Training Systems (WETS) is a cross-IC group of people who use the Training Activity (TA) module, X-Train, and the Special Initiatives Tracking System (SITS). It meets monthly to share ideas and issues regarding the modules and to provide analysts and programmers with suggestions for enhancements and changes.

What is the Special Initiatives Tracking System?

The SITS module enables reviewers, grants management, and other NIH staff to access data for minority, disability, and reentry supplements, e.g., tracking the supplement portions of a parent grant.
