Purpose
To record subproject budget data for grants with multiple components,
such as multiproject
grants, in IMPAC.
Procedure
Grants Management Staff
For each competing multiple project grant, Grants
Management Program (GMP) staff add funding levels in the
IMPAC Grants Management Module using the following process:
- Access the data from the spreadsheet GMP uses to develop the
funding level for a multiproject
grant.
- Divide the F&A dollars
among the subprojects and cores, ensuring the total adds up to
no more than the total cost of the
Notice of Award.
- Make sure total direct
cost agrees with total award level in
IMPAC.
- Enter the subproject budget data into the subproject
module of IMPAC.
- Check, verify, and resolve IMPAC
data for:
- PI name.
- Institution for all performance sites.
- Project title.
- Project dates.
- Resolve any funding discrepancies.
- Create a new subproject for any missing
ones.
- Correct any existing data
to ensure that subproject information is accurate.
- Make
sure the entry passes IMPAC business rules.
Entering data for noncompeting grants is planned. Scientific Review Program Staff
For applications received by the Scientific
Review Program:
DEAS staff enter the PI's
name and project title for each subproject and core into the IMPAC
Peer Review Module, a step required
to generate official peer
review vote sheets.
