    Institute: National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR)

    NIDCR introduces new companion materials for the consumer about oral cancer. The pamphlet Oral Cancer describes risk factors, signs, and symptoms of the disease, and emphasizes the importance of an oral cancer screening by a dental professional. The Oral Cancer Exam describes the steps of a thorough examination.

  • New NCI Web Site Advises 9 A Day for African-American Men

    A new Web site is available called 9 A Day focusing on the health of African-American men. These men have a greater chance that other men of developing or dying from certain diet-related chronic diseases, specifically certain cancers, heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes. More

  • Web Monograph Addresses Cancer in Women of Color

The site was created by the Tobacco Control Research Branch, with important contributions from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Cancer Society. More
