Helix Systems Rates to Change October 1st (Helix)
Date: 25 September 2008From: Helix Systems Staff (staff@helix.nih.gov)
Dear Helix users, Due to increasing costs of operating the Helix systems, for the first time since 1996 user fees will be adjusted beginning on October 1. The basic cost of a Helix account will increase from $20/month to $25/month. The cost of home directory file storage will be lowered to $5/GB/month in order to align with other CIT storage rates. Disk charges will continue to be based on actual disk space used with a minimum charge of $1/month. On a more positive note, the Helix Systems will be increasing the quota on user mailboxes from 200 MB to 300 MB by October 1. As always, we are here to assist you with all of your scientific computing needs. If you have any questions or comments, please visit our newly redesigned web site at http://helix.nih.gov or send email to staff@helix.nih.gov. Please drop by and see us at the NIH Research Festival in mid-October. The Helix Systems Staff
