Abstract: An occupational clustering scheme has been developed from an occupation and exposure linkage system. In this scheme, occupational titles are grouped together hierarchically according to the numbers and degrees of their shared exposures. The use of the clusters obtained from this hierarchy is demonstrated in the analysis of the data from a case-control study of bladder cancer.
