Abstract: Brief communication on association of between hereditary retinoblastoma and cancer risk, based on an additional 7 years of mortality follow-up for a cohort consisting of 964 patients with hereditary retinoblastoma (60%) and 640 patients with nonhereditary retinoblastoma (40%) followed from one year after retinoblastoma diagnosis. This follow-up revealed, for the first time, a significantly elevated risk of lung cancer mortality among hereditary retinoblastoma patients.
