U.S. Diabetes Prevalence, 2007

Estimated prevalence of diagnosed and undiagnosed diabetes in people aged 20 to 39 years and 40 to 59 years and 60 plus years groups

Source: 2004-2006 National Health Interview Survey estimates projected to year 2007.

 

Note:

  • 2.6 percent of all people 20 through 39 years have diabetes.

  • 10.8 percent all people 40 through 59 years have diabetes.

  • 23.8 percent of all people aged 60 and older have diabetes - that is about one out of every 4 older adults!
