10 Years of Progress 1997-2007 logoNDEP Celebrates its 10th Anniversary

In 1997, NDEP set out to change the way diabetes is treated. Only eight percent of Americans believed diabetes was a serious disease in 1997. By 2003, diabetes was a TIME magazine cover story. In NDEP’s own survey last summer, 89 percent of Americans reported that diabetes was a serious disease. As NDEP celebrates its 10th anniversary, join us as we continue working to improve the treatment and outcomes for people with diabetes, promote early diagnosis, and prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes.
