What services are provided?
The Animal Models for Hepatitis B and C program provides three small animal models for in vivo testing of therapies for Hepatitis B and C:
- For Hepatitis B
- Transgenic mouse model
- Woodchuck infected with woodchuck hepatitis virus (surrogate) model
- For Hepatitis C
- SCID-Alb-uPA chimera mouse model engrafted with human livers
Where are services provided?
Services are provided at the following locations:
- Utah State University, Logan, UT (Hepatitis B transgenic mouse model)
- Cornell University, Ithaca, NY (Hepatitis B woodchuck model)
- KMT Hepatech, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (Hepatitis C chimera mouse model)
