Research Technologies Branch

The Research Technologies Branch develops and provides state-of-the-art research technology to the intramural research program of NIAID through a network of 11 sections and units. Scientists in the branch also provide training and consulting on all aspects of the technology, including experimental design, laboratory protocols, and analysis of results. To reach these goals, the branch does the following:

  • Develops and provides state-of-the art technology to NIAID intramural researchers that is useful today
  • Provides technology consultation to NIAID intramural researchers
  • Provides training to NIAID intramural researchers
  • Keeps abreast of new developments
  • Develops new technology and applications
