The Technology Architecture describes NIH’s current and future technical infrastructure and specific hardware and software technologies that support NIH's information systems. It provides guidance and principles for implementing technologies that are proven to work well with existing and planned technologies.
There are currently no technology architecture initiatives planned. However, based on a previous technology architecture initiative, the domain team and working group process was launched on the EA website. This new content area, organized by phases, provides domain team and working group leaders, facilitators, and participants an intuitive set of tools, templates, and references necessary to successfully complete a domain team or working group to recommend EA standards or best practices. The hope is that through this new website feature that other NIH stakeholders can more effectively and autonomously contribute to the development of the NIH Enterprise Architecture.
