Steps Related to Investment Control

The Office of the Chief Architect recognizes that time is needed for systems to change how they operate in order to comply with the architecture.  For that purpose, a four step process has been developed.  For 2005, the steps were publicized and systems were asked to answer the question whether or not they have business process and data models.

For 2006, systems must supply the business process and data models to the architect in order to be able to check the “complies with the Enterprise Architecture” box on the form 300B.

For 2007 Systems' process and data models must map to EA process and data models.

For 2008 Systems' process and data models must conform to the NIH Enterprise Architecture.
