The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) will convene a Summit on HIV vaccine research and development on March 25, 2008, in Bethesda, MD. With the input of experts in the field, NIAID will review its HIV vaccine research portfolio and seek to determine the most appropriate balance between vaccine discovery and development.
