Mouse Genome Resequencing & SNP Discovery Project

Center for Rodent Genetics

Mouse-DNA graphic The evolutionary relationships among the 15 strains chosen for sequencing are shown in the dendrogram for Relationships Among Inbred Mouse Strains.

All data generated from this project will be deposited into NCBI and other publicly available databases.

SNPs will be deposited into dbSNP on a regular basis. SNP details can be retrieved from Entrez SNP Exit NIEHS using the instructions below:

  1. On the Entrez SNP page, select By Submitter under the Submission Information header:
Select By Submitter under Submission Information
  2. On the following search page, select Search by Submitter Handle and type PERLEGEN for the handle:
Select search by submitter handle and type PERLEGEN

Trace files of all sequences generated will be deposited at the NCBI Trace Archive Exit NIEHS.

Since the incorporation of SNP data into dbSNP may occur several months after submission, current SNP and genotype information are available for download Exit NIEHS by chromosome.

In addition, the sequencing progress can be followed by strain Exit NIEHS or chromosome Exit NIEHS.
