Tracking Your Application Submission:
- Applicants are strongly encouraged to periodically check
their application status in the Commons after submitting
their application through Grants.gov. The eRA system will
make every effort to send an email to the PD/PI and AOR/SO
summarizing download and validation results for each submitted
grant application, but keep in mind that email can be
unreliable.
- Once an application package has been successfully submitted
through Grants.gov to NIH, all errors are corrected ,and
an application has been assembled by the eRA Commons,
PDs/PIs and SOs will have two weekdays (Monday – Friday,
not including federal holidays) to view the application.
If everything is acceptable, no further action is necessary.
The application will automatically move forward to the
Division of Receipt and Referral for processing. If however,
it is determined that some part of the application was
lost or did not transfer correctly during the submission
process, PIs can work through their SOs to ‘reject’ the
application in the Status module.
