NIH eSubmission Items of Interest for AORs & SOs— November 30, 2006

Grants administrators,

We will transition to electronic R01 applications using the new SF424 (R&R) form set for the February 5, 2007 receipt date and beyond. Please make sure your institution is registered at both Grants.gov and eRA Commons. We have started a communication campaign to ensure all potential applicants are aware of these important changes. The November issue of the NIH Extramural Nexus was devoted to this topic. We hope you take advantage of the training and outreach resources on the Electronic Submission of Grant Applications website to help us spread the word. If you are new to the process, join us for our webcast December 5, 2006 training event. We are always open to any suggestions you have for improving the available materials (NIHElectronicSubmiss@mail.nih.gov).

We would like you to be aware that we have just distributed the following email to a large distribution of principal investigators as part of our communications campaign.
