The NCI Molecular Targets Faculty provides the infrastructure to enhance collaborative basic, translational, and clinical research on molecular targets or pathways. The Faculty established the Molecular Targets Development Program to provide NCI intramural investigators with assistance in developing screening assays to identify small-molecule inhibitors and biologic agents that interact with molecular targets and to support the pre-clinical development of promising molecularly targeted lead compounds.
The Steering Committee of the Molecular Target Faculty includes members from a number of key organizations, including:
NCI intramural principal investigators may join any of the Faculties/Working Groups in which they wish to participate. Although membership is intended primarily for NCI intramural principal investigators, some groups also permit other staff members to participate. Membership is also open to local NCI extramural science administrators.
Please check with one of the the Faculty Chairpersons, James Doroshow, M.D., or Pat Steeg, Ph.D., if you have any questions.
To request membership in this or any NCI Intramural Program, please visit and fill out the Request for Membership Form.
