Single Lipid Nanoparticle

Description of Invention:
Available for licensing and commercial development are nanoparticle compositions comprising a phospholipid or diphosphatidyl glycerol component, an optional linker and a multifunctional ligand. A patent application has been filed covering the nanoparticle compositions and their methods of use as site-specific imaging or therapeutic agents. The particles are preferably single lipid compounds or single lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) prepared from single lipids (e.g., being a lipid molecule of a single lipid type or of a uniform structural type). Four exemplary SLNs might be the following:
