CARE Model: Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Tool for African American Women

The CARE Model is a Gauss software program that allows researchers to estimate an African American woman's risk of developing invasive breast cancer.

The Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Tool is in the process of being updated with the CARE Model information. Both tools are designed for use by health professionals and researchers. If you are not a health professional, you are encouraged to discuss the results and your personal risk of breast cancer with your doctor.
