Mouse Models: GFP Reporter Transgenic Mouse (Taconic Line 000317)

Transgenic mice universally expressing the green fluorescent protein (GFP) under the human ubiquitin C (UBC) promoter (C57BL/6-tg(UBC-GFP)30Scha) were developed by Dr. Brian Schaeffer, and the breeding stock was generously provided by Dr. Philippa Marrack at National Jewish Medical and Research Center, Denver CO. The transgene is inbred on the C57BL/6 background. The mice are homozygous for the transgene, and there are no special husbandry concerns with these mice. Cells from these mice are used in cell transplantation studies.
