The pain of our anger is very real.
If we don't know how to relieve it the right way,
we will react to it in ways
that make things worse instead of better.
- Mitchell Messer

In simple, easy-to-read language, this booklet addresses such issues as setting boundaries, managing anger positively, risk factors for anger in AD care, and children or professionals getting angry at the person with AD. It offers tangible action steps for responding appropriately rather than abusively when feeling anger. This 70-page booklet contains personal vignettes from participants in Alzheimer’s support groups at the Family Support Program. They share helpful techniques and coping mechanisms as well as enlightening anecdotes about caring for a loved one with AD.

Caregivers, family members of AD patients, pastors, and health professionals all may benefit from this publication. Physicians may want to suggest it to family members and other caregivers.
