Distinguished Lectures in Occupational and Environmental Cancer

The OEEB launched the Distinguished Lectures in Occupational and Environmental Cancer in 2002. Each year, three or four prominent scientists will visit for two days to give a lecture and meet with DCEG staff to discuss issues relevant to research on occupational and environmental causes of cancer. The objectives of this series are to expand and intensify contacts between intramural and extramural investigators, provide an opportunity for junior staff to meet with distinguished scientists, and highlight research opportunities in occupational and environmental cancer. Speakers will give a DCEG seminar, participate in an informal discussion of relevant scientific issues at an OEEB meeting, and meet with fellows and other DCEG groups to discuss ongoing research.
