NEW - NAF Ataxia Research Studies Currently in Progress

The National Ataxia Foundation is pleased to announce that eight promising ataxia research studies from six different countries were awarded funding at the December 2008 NAF Board of Directors meeting. Also approved earlier in 2008 was an award to co-fund a clinical trial for various forms of SCA, which will begin in early 2009. All of these important research projects have been made possible through the generosity of NAF donors who contributed to the 2008 NAF Annual Ataxia Research Drive and those individuals and families who conducted fund raising events: More...

NAF Receives 4 Star Rating For 5th Consecutive Year

4 Star Rating

Charity Navigator in a recent letter to the National Ataxia Foundation stated, “We are proud to announce National Ataxia Foundation has earned our fifth consecutive 4-star rating for its ability to efficiently manage and grow its finances. Only 3% of the charities we’ve rated have received at least 5 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that National Ataxia Foundation consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and outperforms most charities in America. This “exceptional” designation from Charity Navigator differentiates National Ataxia Foundation from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.”
