Partitioning Medical Terminology for the Representation of Medical Reference Knowledge
Ekkehard Finkeissen, Ph.D.
2003-06-10
The communication of medical knowledge from research into routine takes several months in average. The MedRapid-system aims at supporting the authoring process by organizing both the structured knowledge entry and the refereeing process amongst researchers. Like this, the time for reconciliation and communication can hopefully be reduced to few days, soon. To reach this goal, specific problems still are to be solved. After attending this lecture attendees will be able to: Understand a formal representation of medical reference knowledge, Understand issues in managing terminology in medical reference knowledge, Comprehend some limitations of medical knowledge representation.
