Abstract: (CIT): Systems Biology Special Interest Group Dr. Kirschner obtained her Ph.D. in Mathematics from Tulane University in 1991 and has served on the faculty of Texas A & M and Vanderbilt Universities. In 1997 she joined the University of Michigan School of Medicine where she is Associate Professor of Microbiology and Immunology. Dr. Kirschner's research interests include microbial pathogenesis, nonlinear dynamical and complex systems. She is currently Co-Chief Editor of the Journal of Theoretical Biology.
