Core Facilities

Created under the auspices of the Office of the Scientific Director as a resource for the Division of Intramural Research, the NICHD Core Facilities are comprised of three divisions: (1) Microscopy and Imaging, under James Russell, DVM, (2) Mass Spectrometry, co-directed by Alfred L. Yergey, PhD and Peter S. Backlund, PhD, and (3) Scientific Software Support and Bioinformatics, headed by Jonathan Epstein, MS.
