The policy offers new approaches to maximize the potential of “team science” efforts. The multiple Principal Investigator (PI) model will supplement, and not replace, the traditional single Principal Investigator (PI) model.  Specific information about the multiple PD/PI option is included in Funding Opportunity Announcements. A set of questions and answers is also available to assist the small business research community. See SBIR/STTR Multiple PD/PI Frequently Asked Questions and the Multiple Principal Investigators Home Page.
