Keiji Morokuma Awarded 2008 Imperial Prize; Symposium Honoring Him to be held in July 2009

Congratulations to Keiji Morokuma on being awarded the Imperial Prize and the Japan Academy Prize from the Japan Academy. This well-deserved honor is in recognition of "the integrated impact of chemistry in [his] work in understanding structure, function and reactivity of molecules by theoretical/computational approaches." Professor Morokuma was presented the prize by Japanese Emperor Akihito in a ceremony in Tokyo on June 9, 2008. Additional information |
A symposium honoring Professor Morokuma's 75th birthday will be held in Kyoto, Japan in July 2009.
