There was an Industry Advisory Council meeting held June 18th at the NITAAC facilities on 6011 Executive Blvd. The following list identifies the attendees, their companies, and which contract they represent (if applicable):
Marie Monsees (NITAAC), Jeffrey Westerhoff (SRA - CIO-SP), Stuart Kramer (Multimax - Chairman), Bill Jones (Unisys - ECS2), Elmer Sembly (NITAAC) and Pam Stearman (Intermetrics -CIO-SP).
The first discussion focused on issues surrounding the IAC Committee. The current plan is to post on the NITAAC web page the minutes of the last meeting and the agenda prior to the next meeting. It was decided that 3 permanent members will be selected per contract (ECS II, Image World, and CIO-SP). The new members will be selected from people who volunteered at the vendors' meeting held on June 8th. The members' terms are the length of the contract they are representing. We will also allow one additional person per contract on a monthly rotation starting in September. Please contact Stuart Kramer if you would like to come prior to each meeting. The selection will be made to anyone who wants to come on a "first to call" basis.
Marie then asked if it would be helpful to have all RFPs posted on the web with passwords. Each company would have a password for each prime contract they hold. If you have an opinion about this, please let any of the committee members know. In addition, NITAAC is thinking about a generic email address where one company would be allowed one email address per contract. Feedback on that also would be welcomed.
Elmer talked briefly about the Ad Blitz campaign that NITAAC is trying to organize. Currently he has 23 commitments and is looking for 40. Information concerning the campaign is posted under "news" on the NITAAC web page. If you are interested, please respond immediately to Elmer since the commitment money is due by June 26th.
NITAAC also said they are planning to post the total numbers/dollars to show the volume per contract.
