The Wednesday May 25, 2006 Meeting Minutes

Opening Remarks by Diane Frasier, NIH, IAC Co-Chair
Diane Frasier welcomed
everyone and kicked the meeting off. She
discussed the exceptional turn out and NITAAC participation at the
NITAAC’s
Outreach and Marketing Programs, Mary
Alice Johnson, CTS
Mary Alice Johnson briefed on
the outstanding leads generated at the NARA Conference and provided handouts on
the exceptional NITAAC marketing efforts to date.
For the future, NITAAC outreach
is pushing hard for increased participation for:
Health IT June 15th
Technet June 19th-20
th
and especially
its.Gov July 26th----NITAAC
will have a Pavilion at the Ronald Reagan Bldg.
where companies can contribute and NITAAC has arranged pre-negotiated discounts
for all its partner vendors (Click on flyer to view). This is the
end of year showcase, so please contact Mary Alice Johnson to discuss
participating.
Mary Alice also distributed a
copy of the latest 2006 FCW GWAC Buyers Guide.
This guide was published as a part of the May 15th issue of
FCW and is a much better representation of GWACs than previous versions.
Discussion of Acquisition
Environment, Rusty Wall, IAC Co-Chair/CSC
The IAC was
provided updates on Eagle and Alliant/Alliant SB, and several other GWACs. A short discussion of the GSA Direct Order
-Direct bill process ensured and how it differs from the processes used by
NITAAC. This is the GSA process to
authorizes COs outside the GSA PCO office to solicit and award tasks including
exceptions to the fair opportunity process on GSA GWACs after receiving
training from the GSA PCO.
There was no
news on any new OMB initiatives related to NITAAC’s representation on the OMB
GWAC Committee.
Discussion of Agenda Items for IAC Subcommittees Rusty Wall, IAC Co-Chair/CSC (Briefings by Each Subcommittee Chair)
Geralynn Franceschini – Chair
of Marketing Subcommittee briefed on the status future agenda items and results
of the marketing subcommittee meeting held on May 9th. Geralynn distributed her written minutes (Click

Dwight
Chamberlain Chair of the Government Affairs Subcommittee and Diane McLaughlin –
Chair of the Programs Subcommittee could not
attend due to short notice schedule conflicts.

Millicent Manning reported
an inception to date total on ECS III of
57,834 orders for a total value of $1.1B.
Donald Wilson reported 42
Task Orders on IW2nd with an award
value of $19.8M and an option value of $31.8M and 587 Delivery Orders with a
value of $87.8M.
Greg Holliday briefed that
CIO-SP2i now has 439 awarded Task
Orders with a base year value of $1.4B and an option year value of $5.6B if all
options are exercised.

The next IAC Meeting is
scheduled for Thursday, 22 June- the fourth Thursday in June from 10:00
Am-11:30 AM.
Polly Seleski from the NAC
proposed discussing process related additions at the next meeting.
Debbie Rieger from the IAC
has proposed discussing process changes to speed up the approval process for
new CLINs on IW2 as an agenda item.
Bill Cratty proposes
addressing ECS III marketing efforts at the next meeting based upon feed back
gained from the IAC Marketing Subcommittee lead by Geralynn Franceschini.
