Registry of Tumors in Lower Animals (RTLA)

Description:
A diagnostic center, specimen depository, and information clearinghouse that provides:

  • Slides of neoplasms and related diseases among reptiles, amphibians, fish, sharks, mollusks, arthropods, echinoderms, and coral
  • Neoplasms in nearly every tissue system: integumentary, digestive, hemic, genital, and excretory
  • Multihead microscope for visitors to examine slides
  • Services such as assistance and consultation on the phyletic classification and diagnosis of lesions found in lower animals
  • Training sets consisting of histological slides representing various tumor types
