National Advisory Mental Health Council

The National Advisory Mental Health Council (NAMHC meets three times per year and advises the Secretary of Health and Human Services, the National Institutes of Health Director, and the NIMH Director on all policies and activities relating to the conduct and support of mental health research, research training, and other Institute programs.

The annual NIMH COR Colloquium is a unique scientific meeting that convenes junior and senior undergraduate honors students (Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award recipients) in the NIMH COR Program to demonstrate the research knowledge and skills they have acquired from the COR Honors and Research curricula. The students deliver scientific talks, present research posters, and engage in dialog with established scientists from a variety of institutions and NIH.
