Born in a small Alaskan village, from a long line of midwives and medicine women, Jacqueline was baptized Russian Orthodox, reared and Bat-Mitvah’ed as a Jew, married into a Baptist denomination, and has subsequently studied Pentecostal and Methodist Christianity, has been exposed to the Catholic and Pagan religions, received her Lakota Spirit name, and finds Eastern philosophy, all sorts of healing arts and techniques throughout the world to be fascinating. This exposure to truth-seeking and health honoring in every encountered spiritual denomination has provided Jacqueline with a deep awareness and evidence that we humans are, indeed, all related.

Jacqueline is a lifetime member of the Alaska Public Health Association, and acted as Treasurer, then Secretary, and finally President of the Alaska CHR Association. Experience in regional health issues of Alaska Village Natives and the lifelong draw to Traditional Healing brought Jacqueline to work with the Kenaitze Indian Tribe, IRA’s Nakenu Family Center as Traditional Healing Program Advocate and Program Development in April of 2002. Jacqueline developed Policy and Procedure for the Tribe’s Traditional Healing Program and assumed the position of their current Tribal Healer.

Jacqueline’s studies include herbal lore, massage therapy, emergency aid, healing arts of Alaskan, Chinese, European and ancestor/aboriginal relationships to spiritual health methods and historical data, healing languages and technique and theory. Basic and common Spiritual truths are of the greatest interest and joy in day-to-day health and celebration of life, and Jacqueline finds great comfort in relating to others in health and good spirit.
