Immunonutrition - Enhancing Tumoricidal Cell Activity

Meeting Date

March 23, 2005

Meeting Location

Bethesda North Marriott
Bethesda, MD

Meeting Objectives

The purpose of this workshop is to identify opportunities and challenges regarding dietary strategies to strengthen tumoricidal cells that function in surveillance and subsequent elimination of cancer cells.

The workshop will focus on what we understand to date regarding tumoricidal cell survival, differentiation and maturity, their migration patterns, tissue localization and activation state, and how these functions are modified by dietary components. We want to identify gaps in our current knowledge and determine the potential for research in this field in order to make a difference in cancer prevention.
