A postdoctoral position is available to study mechano-electrical and
reverse transduction mechanisms in hair cells. Current projects include
studying a prestin-based motile mechanism in outer hair cells and ionic
currents in outer hair cells. Methods used include patch-clamping,
optical methods, and AFM. Background in physical science,
electrophysiology, or molecular biology is highly desirable but persons
with other backgrounds are also considered. Must be within 5 years of
