Objectives: | |
In this class the participants will learn the basics of setting up a home network system. Dial-up, DSL, and Cable internet connection scenarios will be discussed. Basic configuration methods and solutions will be demonstrated. After taking this course you should have enough knowledge to set up and maintain a stable and secure home network. VPN connections will be touched on, but not elaborated upon. For information on how to set up your VPN connection and actually connect to NIH see Working from Home - Understand the Technologies. |

This class is geared toward the network novice. Any NIH staff member that is new to working from home and connecting to the NIH network could benefit from this class. | |
