The emotional toll from the terrorist attacks is immeasurable. The whole culture has gone into mourning and there is going to be an undercurrent of grief as we go through our daily activities. A healthy response to this type of horrific event is to get back into a routine-and so most of us are back at work processing your daily routines through the filter of September 11, 2001. Grief is a process and there may be times when you feel the need to talk about your anger, sadness, fears, shifts in perception, and attempts at adjustment.

The EAP is an option that is available to you to have these discussions. Employees have also arranged with the EAP the scheduling of group meetings where workers can freely discuss their concerns- and you are welcome to arrange such meetings. Listed below are some links to sites that provide material that may be helpful to you as you experience the grieving process.
